The Director of the Anthropos Doctoral School of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences announces that the admission limit to the School has changed.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, recruitment to the School will also be conducted in the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial economy (within the S. Leszczycki Institute of Geography and Spatial Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences). The limit is 1 place.
This change is reflected in the attached form.
Admissions notice for Anthropos IPAS Doctoral School
The Director of the Anthropos Doctoral School of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, pursuant to § 4, paragraph 3 of the Rules for Admission to the Anthropos Doctoral School of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the academic year 2025/2026, announces as follows.
General information and admissions schedule
Admission to the Anthropos Doctoral School of Institutes PAS is conducted through an open competition in two stages.
Candidates who successfully pass the evaluation of the submitted documentation, obtaining at least 15 points (out of a possible 30), will be invited to an interview, during which they can earn up to 70 points.
To receive a recommendation from the Recruitment Committee for admission to the School, a candidate must obtain at least 75 points in total and be ranked within the quota for the chosen scientific discipline or the scientific discipline and institution running the School.

I. Required Documents and Admissions Schedule
The list of required documents is specified in § 9 of the aforementioned Admissions Rules. Documents must be submitted via email between August 11 and September 1, 2025 to the following address: szkola.anthropos@ihpan.edu.pl.
Interviews will take place between September 22–25, 2025.
Selected candidates will be notified of the exact date of their interview via email by September 19, 2025. Interviews may be conducted via electronic communication tools.

II. Admission Quotas for the Doctoral School
For the academic year 2025/2026, recruitment to the School is carried out in the following disciplines or disciplines and institutions:
- Social-economic geography and spatial management at the Stanisław Leszczycki Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS): 1 spot
- History at the Tadeusz Manteuffel Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS): 2 spots
- History at the Ludwik and Aleksander Birkenmajer Institute for the History of Science PAS: 1 spot
- Literary Studies: 2 spots (research project carried out at the Institute of Literary Research PAS)
- Cultural and Religious Studies or Linguistics: 1 spot (research project carried out at the Institute of Slavic Studies PAS)
- Art Studies: 2 spots (research project carried out at the Institute of Art PAS)
III. Admissions Fee
The admissions fee is 150 PLN.
Candidates should make the payment to the account of the Institute of History PAS at the following account number:

The payment title should include: “Anthropos recruitment” and the candidate’s full name.
