International Fellowships in the NextGenPhDs – Innovations Project,
funded by NAWA under the STER – Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools programme

We are pleased to announce a call for applications for four international research fellowships within the framework of the NextGenPhDs project.

Project number: BPI/STE/2024/1/00016

Eligibility: Doctoral candidates enrolled in the Anthropos IPAN Doctoral School who have received approval of their individual research plan.

Number of fellowships available: 4

Purpose of the fellowship:

  • collecting research materials for the doctoral dissertation, including fieldwork, archival or library research,
  • participation in seminars or consultations with researchers at the host institution,
  • additionally: short educational formats aimed at enhancing the participant’s academic or professional competencies,
  • working on the doctoral dissertation in a focused environment conducive to intensive writing (writing retreat).

Funding provided by the project:

  • fellowship stipend – PLN 5,000 per month,
  • living expenses – from PLN 6,000 to 12,000 per month,
  • travel costs – from PLN 3,000 to 6,500,
    depending on the host country.

Duration of the fellowship: 1–3 months

Fellowship period: between 15 July and 15 December 2025

Required documents:

  • application for international fellowship funding (template provided),
  • academic CV,
  • confirmation from the host institution agreeing to receive the doctoral candidate (scan),
  • recommendation from the supervisor(s).
